Other Elevenses Ideas
I like to chop and change our elevenses as much as I can, but sausage rolls are always my go-to as they're so easy to make
I'll update and add new recipes below as and when I make new items, but below are those that are tried and tested!
CHEESE & BACON TWISTS
Using the rolls of pastry, cut each sheet of pastry into strips about 2 inches wide. Take your streaky bacon, split each strip in two, lay onto the pastry, then twist round, lay on a baking sheet, egg wash and then pop in the oven until golden brown.
You can also spread mustard onto the pastry sheet for a little flavour.
MIXED FRUIT CRUMBLE
Just a standard crumble mix, which I'll usually bake the night before and then re-heat in the morning.

We have the opportunity to scrump around our shoot, so we have access to apples, pears, plums, blackberries, damsons and sloes. So I will usually cut, vacuum pack and store what I can, then just throw into a crumble in the season
BOOZY BLACKBERRY FLAPJACKS:
Using a standard flapjack recipe, you can substitute the fruit for the fruit used within the gin. Be careful that your mixture doesn't become too wet, as this will affect its texture.

Once you've made your blackberry gin (see the separate gin recipe page) strain the gin out and bottle, then freeze the remaining fruit, which you can make into flapjacks or jam (see below)
DAMSON GIN JAM:
Once you've strained out the fruit from the gin (see gin making page) you can make this fruit into jam.

Just follow any jam recipe, then use the jam for cakes and even sausage roll recipes.
